Security Relief BID Patrol Team - Days & Nights

Overall purpose
Argenbright Security Europe Limited (ASEL) provides integrated security solutions through the provision of technology products and human security resources. Our solutions bridge the gap through risk-based integrated security solutions, deployed through our unique ASEL Risk Modelling approach designed for urban centres. Intelligence & Deployment – turning data into intelligence-based business action. As part of the Bradford BID Patrol Team, you will be at the cutting edge of UK business crime reduction and intelligent crime management.
Main Duties & Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high visibility, reassuring and friendly presence, and safe environment in and around Southampton City Centre, reacting to threat risk and harm in line with training.
* Visit BID Businesses daily and engage with store and business colleagues. Maintain an updated contact list of business leaders on the BID Base software platform.
* Operate in a professional manner with excellence in customer service to BID businesses, the public, the local authority, and the BID team.
* Check intelligence updates daily at the start of duty and be aware of target subjects likely to impact BID businesses.
* Target agreed priority prolific and persistent offenders to reduce crime and risk in the Southampton City Centre area.
* Communicate daily with the ASEL CIC and comply with BID visit schedules unless directed otherwise. Follow CIC instructions and BID team directions.
* Report incidents and intelligence via ASEL Guarded on Duty and complete daily DILO reports as required.
* Gather evidence for UK Police investigations, including MG11 statements and CCTV exhibits, and assist businesses with evidence collection and offender identification.
* Respond to calls promptly via BID radio communications or mobile phone, acknowledging communications each time.
* Support visitors to the town or city centre with wayfinding information.
* Deal with sharps, waste and debris as identified, following the appropriate processes.
* Attend and support monthly Business Crime meetings and assist the Business Crime Manager when required.
* Work in partnership with Neighbourhood Police Team, outreach teams and Days of Action as required.
* Support Police Prosecutions by attending court and giving evidence when required.
* Provide first aid as a first responder when required.
Night-Time City Security Wardens - Objective & Key Responsibilities
* Prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB) and increase public confidence through high-visibility patrols in designated BID hotspot areas.
* Conduct regular high-visibility patrols, ensuring presence is reassuring to the public, businesses and visitors.
* Engage with the community and businesses to gather intelligence and address concerns; build positive relationships to enhance public safety.
* Identify and address ASB, issuing warnings or coordinating with police as appropriate.
* Be vigilant for vulnerable individuals and ensure safe ways home or escalation to partner organisations as needed.
* Log all patrol activities, incidents and interactions; submit non-urgent intelligence as required.
* Attend partner briefings and coordinate patrol activities with partners to maintain a unified approach to safety and public order.
* Maintain a professional demeanor and comply with patrol policies and procedures.
