As part of the Councils drive to improve services and facilities across the City, we are looking to recruit a dynamic, client focused and personable Senior Project Manager to join our in‑house team managing and delivering major property building projects for the Council.
You will be part of a growing team within the in‑house project management sector and multi‑discipline design service for the Council. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of high‑quality buildings as well as overseeing the delivery by external consulting teams.
CEC are leading the way for Public sector in the adoption of low and zero carbon technologies. CEC have adopted PassivHaus as the default standard for all its new build projects and are developing a carbon‑focussed approach for the large number of up‑and‑coming Retrofit refurbishment projects. This leads to a portfolio of interesting and market‑leading projects requiring high levels of technical understanding.
Qualifications:
* BSc or equivalent degree qualification in Construction Project Management and hold a full membership of a related professional body such as APM, CIOB, RICS or similar.
* Extensive post‑qualification experience in construction project management of major projects in excess of £80m, as well as a proven record and ability of working as part of a professional project delivery team.
* Proficient experience and working knowledge in MS Office and MS Project. Understanding of Passive Haus design would also be an advantage.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbally, and good analytical skills in numeracy.
* Present well and reflect a positive attitude and outlook towards the Council.

Salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
