The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Chemistry to join our science department. The ideal candidate will have a strong subject knowledge, a creative approach to teaching, and the ability to engage students at all levels. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that support student progress and ignite a curiosity for the natural world.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Chemistry across the Junior and Senior Schools.
2. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables students to achieve their potential.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
4. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and department initiatives.
5. Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and innovative teaching practices.
The Ideal Candidate will:
6. Hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE or equivalent).
7. Be newly qualified or have a wealth of teaching experience.
8. Have a strong academic background in Chemistry, ideally with a second science.
9. Demonstrate a passion for science and an ability to inspire young learners.
10. Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
11. Be committed to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
