About the Business
An opportunity to be a Finance Manager for a high quality and prominent player within their industry. This role offers a great chance to be responsible for overseeing the finance functions of the business and working closely with other teams in the business.
Main Duties:
As a Finance Manager, your main duties include:
* Become a key driver in 3 large projects that are soon to start within the business
* These are client projects in the construction & Manufacturing base, not internal projects
* You will get the chance to be in a very forward looking, commercial role
* Take ownership of preparing and managing budgets and forecasts for the projects
* Compile annual development accounts and liaise with external accountants for review and completion
* Work closely with development teams to ensure cost estimates and financial strategies are accurate and up to date
* Track and assess actual project expenditure against approved budgets
* Pinpoint discrepancies, control cost overruns, and propose solutions to maintain financial health
* Deliver prompt, precise financial reports, including cash flow projections, project performance summaries, and variance assessments
* Compile stakeholder and senior leadership reporting packs on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
* Assist the Group Commercial Manager with business funding needs and planning
* Oversee project cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity and effective fund distribution
* Collaborate with auditors and prepare key documentation for financial audits and reviews
* Manage and guide finance team members engaged in development-related reporting and accounting
* Partner with cross-functional teams—such as construction, legal, and asset management—to ensure integrated financial oversight
* Handle HR administrative duties

The company are growing fast, and have around 50 staff in their Birmingham office, with much wider staff levels across the company. The business is run by passionate and supportive managers who really believe in the business.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified preferred
* Will look at QBEs who have strong CVs in Projects or construction
* Experience in a managerial role
* But there is not a large team here, it is more “commercially” led
* Effective communication
