As an Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high quality projects, working as a valued member of the H&J Martin Construction team. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, building strong relationships and playing a key role in pushing projects forward through accurate engineering, clear communication and a proactive approach. Working within a small team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and develop skills and experience to enhance your career.
What you’ll do
1. Assist in planning, supervising and inspecting of temporary works, ensuring safety and compliance.
2. Accurately interpreting construction drawings and specifications and taking ownership in the implementation of Engineering Controls.
3. Implement and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, monitoring and recording health and safety activities as required.
4. To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
What you’ll bring
Essential:
5. Foundation degree level or higher, in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
6. 2 years experience in a similar role
7. Confident in the use of IT, including construction related software such as AutoCAD.
8. Proficient in the use of relevant surveying and setting out equipment.
9. Full driving licence, that permits driving in the UK / Ireland
Desirable:
10. CSR / CSCS Qualification or equivalent
11. Qualified First Aider
12. Qualified or working towards temporary works co-ordinator
13. Qualified or working towards Appointed Person qualification
