We're looking for experienced and passionate Support Workers to join our fun and caring team at St David's House, supporting young adults aged 21-36 with vision impairment and complex needs. No two days are the same here - one day you might be supporting someone to cook a meal, the next enjoying a trip to the beach or the pub
This isn't your typical care home. We believe that rigid routines don't suit everyone - so we focus on flexible, person-centred care that helps our residents build independence, learn life skills, and enjoy new experiences in the community.
About the role
As a Support Worker, you'll:
* Deliver tailored support to help young people thrive
* Enable residents to access enriching social, leisure and vocational activities
* Work closely with a dedicated team led by a Team Leader
* Be part of an inclusive environment that values quality time and individual potential
You'll receive full training, a detailed induction, and ongoing development opportunities - including support to achieve a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, if you don't already have it.
About you
We're looking for people who are:
* Kind, friendly and compassionate
* Experienced in care, education, or supporting others in any setting
* Excellent communicators, especially when working with people with vision impairment and complex needs
* Positive, reliable and great at working as part of a team
Whether you've worked in care, hospitality, education, retail or healthcare - your transferable skills matter. What's most important is your desire to make a difference.
Working pattern
You'll work 37 hours per week on a three-week rolling rota, including:
* Early shifts: 07:00 – 17:00
* Late shifts: 15:00 – 23:00
* Occasional weekends: 08:00 – 21:30 or 09:00 – 22:30
