Overview

Our conferences and events create memorable experiences. As a C&B Supervisor you will ensure our conference and banqueting rooms are presented to the highest standard and meet guests’ requests. You will supervise team members during set up, delivery and clear-down.


Hours

40 hours per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Lead the shift during service as Conference and Banqueting Supervisor.
* Operate all areas of responsibility effectively in the absence of the Head of Department, ensuring standards and adequate resources.
* Understand department targets and objectives and achieve them.
* Maintain full awareness of Crowne Plaza brand standards and enforce them daily.
* Possess full product knowledge of hotel services/facilities to maximise guest satisfaction and sales opportunities.
* Supervise daily shift operations and ensure compliance with all C&B policies, standards and procedures.
* Liaise with function organisers to verify all details.
* Ensure food & beverage, room set‑ups and equipment meet required standard of presentation, quality and quantity before service.
* Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of fixtures, fittings and equipment.
* Manage customer complaints and refer matters outside your responsibility to the Conference & Banqueting Manager.
* Adhere to food handling and sanitation standards.
* Monitor adherence to cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
* Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs and financial objectives.
* Train staff on Conference and Banqueting operations.
* Help train associates in safety procedures and supervise their ability to execute departmental and hotel emergency procedures.
* Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.
* Empower the team to provide excellent customer service.
* Ensure the team understands expectations and brand/hotel standards.
* Supervise staff on shifts to maintain consistently high service delivery and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement measures to meet department quality targets.
* Handle guest complaints/issues in a timely and efficient manner.
* Comply with health and safety management procedures and Safety Risk Audits.
* Keep staff/work areas tidy, safe and report hazards, accidents, loss or damage to management, in accordance with health and safety legislation.


Accountabilities

Work includes mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Required Criteria

* Experience within a C&B / events role.
* Proven experience supervising and directing others with a hands‑on approach.
* Customer service experience.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure; capability to motivate others in the C&B team.
* Good communication and organisational skills.


Desired Criteria

* Experience with hospitality industry as a supervisor.
