About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns – if you are looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, we’ll work with you on your shifts. Weekend working is a requirement of the role and flexibility is welcome. Our in-store Pharmacies are hugely popular; customers expect warmth and friendliness, and confidence in discussing health issues, resolving problems and guiding them to the right products. You will also accurately assemble and process prescriptions, drive awareness of extra services (e.g. Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews), support the Pharmacist with patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes), and follow strict Standard Operating Procedures. You will collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries and deliver them to the store ready for collection. We will help you become a star Pharmacy colleague - you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, then train as a Dispensing Assistant to complete your pharmacy training. Each step brings extra value to our service and advances your career.
About You: You are naturally friendly, highly organised and eager to deliver great results with your team. You have good computer skills, attention to detail, excellent communication with customers and a passion for helping people and providing a positive healthcare experience.
