Role Overview
We are seeking up to two technicians to join our production team. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in mechanical or electrical assembly. You will assist in the assembly, testing, and inspection of our equipment, ensuring all products meet our high-quality standards. Although some experience is beneficial, as demonstrated this summer, in a matter of weeks we have taken a school leaver with no knowledge of the job to now being a valuable member of the team. Key Responsibilities
* Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, instructions, or specifications
* Assist in wiring, mechanical fitting, and basic testing of machines
* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Conduct quality checks to ensure products are built to spec
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to resolve assembly issues
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company procedures
Skills & Qualifications
* Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge (training provided)
* Ability to read simple engineering drawings and instructions
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a technical subject preferred but not essential
* Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment is a plus, but not essential
