The Job Role Details
As the Agricultural Machinery Operator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring efficiency and productivity in all agricultural tasks. This is a varied role that will require you to work with a range of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate tractors, sprayers, cultivators and harvest machinery for fieldwork, including ploughing, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
* Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness.
* Operate and maintain associated farm machinery.
* Assist with groundwork, weeding, and general fieldwork as required.
* Support additional operations during peak times, including harvesting and yard work.
* Assist with the movement and transportation of materials, fresh produce, and equipment around the farm.
* Carry out general farm duties such as hedge cutting, rolling, and fertilising.
* Work alongside farm managers and other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day farm operations.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in the agricultural, farming or fresh produce sectors.
* Experience operating / driving farm machinery.
* PA1, PA2, PA4 and / or PA6 qualified - desirable.
* Skilled in the safe and efficient operation of spraying equipment.
* An understanding of pesticide application, crop protection, and legislative compliance.
* Forklift trained.
* A full UK driving license to get to the site, as the farm is remote.
* Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment.
