Software Engineer
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
Location: Bristol (Primarily office-based with hybrid options)
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship, preferably holding active Security Clearance
The Opportunity:
This hands-on role as a software engineer, focuses on designing and developing Command and Control architectures for future defence products. You will be involved in the full software lifecycle, from initial design through to implementation and testing. Collaborating with experts in missile systems design, you will contribute to secure and reliable solutions that meet the highest industry standards. The Role:
As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing high-integrity software solutions for Air Defence Systems. You will design, implement, and test software architecture models while ensuring seamless integration with other engineering disciplines. Your work will involve tackling complex technical challenges, optimising performance, and maintaining security standards. You will also have the opportunity to explore new technologies and contribute to process improvements, enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of our software development lifecycle.
Essential Requirements:
• Strong software engineering background
• Proficiency in C++ development
• Experience with software architecture models
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Additional beneficial skills:
• Full software development lifecycle experience
• Familiarity with process improvements and new technologies
• Knowledge of Ada, DDS middleware, Real-Time Operating Systems
• Experience with DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, IEC61508, and MISRA C++ standards
The Benefits:
• Salary - Up to £65,000 (DoE)
