The Petersfield School (TPS) Science Department is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and imaginative teacher to join our dedicated team. We are committed to improving student outcomes and maintaining the high standards of our challenging science curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how students learn and a passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists.
Our department prides itself on its academic success. We currently enter 40% of each year group for separate sciences and consistently achieve results well above national averages. These outcomes reflect the dedication and expertise of our team of hard-working science specialists, who embrace a collaborative, initiative approach to teaching and learning. We are looking for a team player who is eager to share ideas and contribute to departmental projects that enhance the science experience for all students. At KS4, teachers primarily teach their specialism, while at KS3, they deliver lessons across all sciences.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a supportive team of experienced teachers, reporting to a Head of Science, with support from a Deputy Head of Science, Lead Science Teacher and KS3 Coordinator, all overseen by a Head of Faculty. As part of the Bohunt Education Trust, you will also be part of a wider network of science educators, collaborating with colleagues across other schools to share best practices.
