An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and ambitious Assistant Company Secretary to join a fast-growing, innovative (re)insurance business in London. This is a fantastic role for someone with
around 2–3 years' experience
in a company secretarial or governance role who is looking to take the next step in their career.
You'll be joining a high-performing Corporate Governance team, working closely with the wider Legal function, and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders across the business. This role offers a broad scope of responsibilities and the chance to develop your career in a dynamic, international environment.
The Role
Working as part of the Corporate Governance team, you'll provide support across a range of company secretarial and governance activities, including:
* Assisting with the preparation of agendas, minutes, Board and shareholder resolutions, and other company secretarial documentation.
* Maintaining company registers and ensuring statutory and regulatory filings are accurate and timely.
* Supporting governance processes across multiple jurisdictions, liaising with external service providers where required.
* Tracking actions from meetings and ensuring follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
* Assisting with the review and updating of policies and governance frameworks.
* Providing general support to the wider Legal and Governance teams.
About You
This role would suit someone with early-stage company secretarial experience who is ready for a step up into a role with more responsibility and exposure.
Key skills and experience include:
* Around 2–3 years' experience in an Assistant Company Secretary or similar governance role.
* Studying towards or planning to study towards the CGI UK & Ireland qualification (or equivalent).
* Familiarity with board management systems such as Boardvantage (advantageous).
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive, motivated approach and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience in (re)insurance or financial services is desirable but not essential.
