Join us at Barclays in the Debit Card Fraud Strategy team, where you will be responsible for recommending and building controls to ensure the fraud strategy functions as designed within our card products. You will analyze fraud data, perform root cause analysis on fraud cases to support your control recommendations, and communicate updates to various stakeholders through regular risk and control forums.
To be successful in Debit Card Fraud Strategy, you should have experience with:
* Analytical proficiency with experience in previous analytical roles or a quantitative/analytical qualification
* Ability to absorb large quantities of data and information, whether detailed or strategic, and identify key insights
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate issues and recommendations to diverse stakeholders
Additional valued skills may include:
* Data-driven analytical skills, with SAS experience to utilize Barclays Data Warehouse for producing meaningful MI and insights on fraud trends and losses
* Experience in developing and executing Fraud Strategies, including knowledge of current trends impacting card fraud
* Ability to challenge assumptions and biases to support the launch of innovative technology for fraud prevention and detection
* Understanding of policy impacts on large customer bases to assess operational and customer impact
* Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills to communicate fraud loss drivers and the benefits of strategic changes
This role can be based in Northampton or Canary Wharf.
Purpose of the role
To support the Risk Function in safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.
