Job Description
Our water resources team delivers projects for domestic and international private and public sector clients. Projects include dams, reservoir, water supply systems and flood risk management. You will work alongside experienced engineers in a positive culture that supports learning and development.
What You'll Do
* Design – work closely with your manager and peers in the design phase of projects, create and modify drawings using CAD, produce calculations and complete design tasks.
* Project Management Support – assist in research, data gathering, and preparing reports.
* Field Visits – gain practical experience through site surveys, inspections and shadowing experienced engineers.
* Collaboration & Communication – attend meetings with clients, contractors and other professionals to discuss project requirements, progress and challenges.
What We're Looking For
* BEng in Civil or Civil & Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
* MEng or MSc in a related field an advantage; water‑related modules an advantage.
* Relevant work experience an advantage.
* Enthusiastic, hard‑working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
* Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report‑writing skills beneficial.
* Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.
* Demonstrable interest in water projects.
* Capability to satisfy client and business expectations and consider financial and commercial implications.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to structure and prioritise work and work independently without losing initiative.
