About Car Planet
Car Planet is one of the UK’s fastest-growing car supermarkets, generating over £130 million in annual revenue and operating across multiple sites. Our operations are powered by a suite of in-house platforms built to solve real problems at scale.
These systems include AutoGrid, RoutePortal, Audiofy, Cardaddys and our core Car Planet website, used daily by over 250 staff across the business and thousands of customers. Product development is fast, iterative, and grounded in daily feedback from real users. As the business grows, these platforms are evolving in scope, complexity, and strategic importance.
The Role
This is a high responsibility graduate role reporting directly to the CEO. You’ll work across multiple platforms and teams, managing feature delivery, gathering user feedback, and ensuring products continue to meet the demands of a fast-scaling operation.
You’ll coordinate daily with our offshore developers, work closely with directors and team managers, and take ownership of roadmap priorities. The role requires a clear communicator with strong commercial instincts, practical judgement, and the ability to get things done.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive feature development across core systems including AutoGrid, RoutePortal, Audiofy, and Cardaddys.
• Align priorities with the CEO and wider leadership team.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely delivery and clear requirements.
• Gather user feedback across our three branches and convert insights into actionable product changes.
• Improve performance, usability, and adoption across platforms.
What We’re Looking For
• Degree in STEM or Economics from a top UK university (1st or strong 2:1)
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, organised, and comfortable taking ownership
• Passion for product, digital systems, and well-designed applications
• Familiarity with modern frameworks (e.g. Flutter, Node.js) and an interest in AI tools
• Willingness to work across sites and engage directly with users and stakeholders
What We Offer
• Direct exposure to senior leadership and high-level decision making
• Genuine product ownership from day one
• Fast progression opportunities in a scaling business
• Competitive salary and bonus linked to delivery and performance
