About the job
The Wallet Development Kit (WDK) Software Engineer will contribute to Tether's open-source toolkit for building self-custodial wallet applications across mobile and desktop platforms. This role involves technical design, implementation, and collaboration to enhance the toolkit's capabilities. Experience with wallet creation or DeFi is a plus.
Responsibilities
* Develop innovative solutions using agile methodologies and new technologies.
* Ensure backend services are scalable, responsive, and real-time to support growth.
* Maintain high security standards to protect user assets and data.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
* Experience in building or integrating crypto wallets for DeFi and blockchain applications.
* Knowledge of modular architecture for scalable applications.
* Experience developing complex platforms and APIs.
* Understanding of Peer-to-Peer technologies.
* Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
* Strong security practices and awareness.
Nice to have
* Experience with high-availability systems.
* Knowledge of Go, Rust, or C++.
* Familiarity with message queues like Redis, caches, and job queues.
* Mobile development experience with React Native, Flutter, or native platforms.
