US Law Support are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded US law firm, to assist in their search for an HR Director in London, to lead the UK Human Resources function.
This is a senior, hands-on role within a collegiate and high-performing environment. Working closely with firm leadership, the HR Director will take full responsibility for the London HR function, delivering a comprehensive generalist service across the employee lifecycle while driving best practice, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives.
Supported by an HR Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a positive and high-performance culture aligned with the firm’s values.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Building strong, trusted relationships with employees and management, ensuring clear understanding and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
* Leading all employee relations matters, providing balanced and commercially sound advice.
* Coaching and supporting managers to enhance engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness.
* Developing and implementing HR programmes and initiatives to support business objectives.
* Overseeing the maintenance and accuracy of HR data, including hires, leavers, performance, and absence records.
* Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and advising on the interpretation and application of policies.
* Supporting the development and management of the London office budget.
* Managing and optimising the HRIS for the London office.
* Leading salary benchmarking and supporting annual compensation review processes.
* Overseeing the benefits offering, including review, administration, and communication.
* Coordinating all UK immigration matters.
* Managing end-to-end recruitment processes for the London office.
* Collaborating with key stakeholders, including COLP, COFA, AML Officer, General Counsel, and Data Protection Officer, on HR-related compliance matters.
* Supporting wider firm and office projects as required.

Suitable applicants will have at least at least ten years of human resource management experience gained from within a law firm or professional services environment.
