Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Maintain site practices that support a safe, profitable, and positive work environment, embodying the "Atlantic Attitude".
2. Supervise ramp, hangar, and fuel storage activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and timely service, communicating with the Operations or General Manager as needed.
3. Ensure proper staffing and delegate work for all Line Service workers, monitor aircraft arrivals/departures, and meet customer expectations.
4. Coordinate daily communication with Customer Service Representatives to ensure service accuracy.
5. Interface with customers to meet servicing requirements, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction.
6. Understand financial aspects such as profit/loss, forecasting, and budgeting to optimize operations.
7. Develop strategic goals to maximize operating profit, and foster a workplace culture emphasizing safety, environmental compliance, customer service, and employee development.
8. Enforce company policies, administer disciplinary actions, and inspect facilities for cleanliness and equipment operation.
9. Operate equipment like fuel trucks and tugs as needed, and oversee incident reporting and investigations.
10. Sign off on aircraft cleaning services, monitor fuel inventory, and ensure paperwork accuracy and quality assurance.
11. Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding new employees, manage overtime staffing, and conduct manpower analysis.
12. Handle payroll submissions, vacation approvals, and maintain vacation balances.
13. Perform any additional duties assigned by management, which may include functioning as a Line Service Technician or Customer Service Representative.
Skills & Qualifications
Education and Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years of line service experience or equivalent in the aviation field.
* Valid state driver’s license and meet insurability requirements.
* Completion of Atlantic Aviation’s operations and safety training.
* At least 18 years old.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Participation in Atlantic Leadership Training.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong customer relations skills.
* Flexible schedule including possible overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
Working Conditions
Work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, chemicals like aviation fuels and oils, and loud noise levels. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.
Physical Requirements
Requires use of hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and walking. Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment.
