Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, kitchen management, and culinary excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food safety and quality, and inspire a team of passionate culinary professionals. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficient and organised kitchen workflows.

Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established quality standards
* Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and compliance with health regulations
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
* Train and mentor staff to enhance skills in food production, serving, and customer service
* Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent hospitality experiences
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times

Skills

* Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
* Extensive culinary experience with a strong understanding of food safety regulations
* Excellent team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff effectively
* Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development
* Strong organisational skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of restaurant operations including serving procedures and customer service standards
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
