Main duties of the job As Lead Radiographer for Theatre and Portables, you’ll help deliver a safe, efficient, and patient-focused imaging service. Key duties include: Service Delivery & Collaboration Work closely with Principal Operations Radiographers to maintain a high-quality service with a strong focus on patient care. Theatre Coordination Liaise with theatre teams to manage imaging schedules, reduce delays, and avoid conflicts. Ensure imaging support is timely and well-integrated into surgical workflows. Quality & Standards Set and maintain professional standards in Theatre and Portable imaging. Contribute to audits and service improvements with colleagues. Staff Support & Development Supervise and support staff, students, and visitors. Provide teaching and assessment in line with BCUHB policies and HCPC standards. Cross-Departmental Relationships Build strong working relationships across departments and help resolve local operational issues. Leadership & Line Management Support delegated line management tasks, including appraisals and staff development. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
