We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Qualified Dispensing Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical principles and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. You will play a crucial role in helping patients select the right eyewear and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
Duties
* Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and personal style preferences.
* Conduct fittings for glasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper alignment and comfort.
* Provide expert advice on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to meet individual needs.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions and measurements.
* Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure seamless patient care.
* Perform minor repairs on eyewear as needed.
* Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to provide informed recommendations.
* Carry out eye awareness outside the store with prospective patient and book them in for a free eye test as part of our eye awareness campaign.
Skills
* Laboratory experience is highly desirable for performing lens fabrication and adjustments.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, particularly the structure of the eye, to better assist patients with their optical needs.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
* Attention to detail for precise measurements and fittings.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
