Overview
At Tata Technologies we design, engineer and validate the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. We are recruiting for a Integration Engineer – BMS to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.
Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses activities under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. ESS also integrates supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity to ensure ASPICE compliance and deliver reliable, secure, high-quality embedded systems and solutions.
The Role
As an Integration Engineer within the BMS Functional Integration & Hardware Delivery team, you’ll bridge the gap between control systems, embedded hardware and functional validation of battery technologies. You’ll drive the integration of components such as SDU controls, CSC modules and WGM hardware across development and delivery phases to meet safety, performance and compliance targets.

* System Integration & Interfacing
* Coordinate integration activities across BMS domains—SDU, CSC, and WGM
* Ensure hardware-software compatibility and seamless signal interfacing
* Support functional safety, electrical compatibility, and failure mode mitigation
* Technical Collaboration
* Interface with software, controls, mechanical, and electrical teams to resolve integration conflicts
* Translate functional specifications into integrated architecture and interface documentation
* Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to track design readiness and implementation status
* Validation Support
* Assist in planning and execution of functional and HIL testing
* Monitor hardware-in-the-loop behaviors for system-level coherence
* Aid in root-cause analysis of integration issues during development and deployment
* Documentation & Delivery
* Maintain interface control documents and integration roadmaps
* Track versioning and configuration control for integrated hardware and software components
* Contribute to delivery milestones by ensuring complete system integration and test-readiness
Knowledge / Experience
* Experience in system integration within BMS, automotive, or power electronics
* Solid understanding of BMS hardware (e.g. SDU, CSC) and embedded communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, and integration tools like CANalyzer, CANoe
Preferred Attributes
* Experience in high-voltage safety systems and ISO 26262
* Knowledge of battery cell behavior and thermal/electrical constraints
* Detail-oriented mindset with strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
* Ability to work in cross-functional agile development teams
Benefits
