Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker/Decision Maker within the Mash Team to work full-time based in Northamptonshire.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker/Decision Maker role is up to £41,949 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. Make decisions on children's cases referred to the MASH, determine required actions, and apply appropriate thresholds for statutory intervention to ensure child safeguarding within Working Together timescales.
2. Provide professional leadership for staff within the team, organize and delegate workload, oversee induction, line management, professional development, and daily supervision of support staff, especially in high-complexity situations, ensuring high standards of service delivery. Promote equal opportunities and health and safety policies.
3. Improve casework quality through case file audits, ensuring learning from audits and observations is incorporated into practice.
4. Assist the Team Manager with maintaining information systems to support best practices, performance, and budget management.
5. Develop effective multi-agency partnerships to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
6. Ensure health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others, complying with relevant policies. Demonstrate awareness of equal opportunities and diverse needs.
7. Perform any other duties aligned with the job's scope and purpose.
Requirements:
* CQSW, DipSW, BA Social Work, or equivalent qualification.
* Management qualification at Level 4 or higher.
* At least 1 year of supervising professional staff.
* Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
* Ability to travel independently across required areas.
