Overview
The Royal Stoke Emergency Departments is undergoing an exciting period of positive development and change. We welcome motivated, enthusiastic and innovative nurses to join our ED team. A workforce model is focused on safe and effective patient care, leadership and development of the nursing team. You will be offered a period of supernumerary duty as well as training from a dedicated team and support through acclimatization and preceptorship.
Full and part time hours are available; you will be required to work an internal rotation pattern covering day and night shifts over 7 days including weekends and public holidays.
In this post you will be responsible for providing ongoing care of patients and ensuring an effective care pathway within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities
* Provide ongoing care to patients and support an effective care pathway within the Emergency Department.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team in a large, busy, evolving department.
* Participate in new ways of working to improve quality and patient experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Current NMC registration as an Adult or Mental Health Nurse, or due to qualify by October 2025.
* Experience within an acute hospital is an asset; time spent in the department as a student or bank staff is also valuable.
* Flexible to the demands of the service and able to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication skills.
