Key Responsibilities
* Review the current psychology provision within the wider context to meet the psychological needs of service users and report with clear recommendations.
* Provide direct service delivery as required.
* Work in tandem with the TEWV Stockton hub team.
* Provide leadership and supervision to the psychological professions.
* Provide expert psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other staff, contributing directly to clients’ diagnosis, formulation and intervention plans.
* Ensure appropriate professional standards and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology (or equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
* Essential: HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Essential: Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
* Essential: Training in clinical supervision and supervision of doctoral trainees.
* Essential: Training in care co-ordination.
* Essential: Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experience: Substantial experience as a qualified applied psychologist within the designated service, including a wide range of client groups and settings; clinical leadership and responsibility for clients’ psychological care; liaison with statutory/voluntary/private sectors; teaching, training, supervision and research; project management and quality/service improvement; experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
