Position: Site Agent – Highways & Civil Works
Employment Model: 16-month Fixed Term Contract (PAYE)

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (negotiable)

The Company: Our client is a major player in UK Civil Engineering & Infrastructure, supporting a wide range of highway and civil works projects. From junction improvements to surfacing, drainage, and pedestrian infrastructure, they deliver high-quality, sustainable construction solutions across the country.
The Role: As Site Agent, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient delivery of highway and civil works, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring all works are completed to high standards of safety, quality and cost efficiency. You’ll lead site teams, manage subcontractors, control budgets and ensure strict compliance with industry and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate and manage site teams and subcontractors
*
Promote and enforce health and safety standards (zero tolerance to unsafe acts)
*
Manage resources, programmes, labour and materials
*
Deliver projects within time, budget and specification
*
Maintain strong client communication and satisfaction
*
Ensure site records, reports, and safety documentation are accurate and up to date
*
Encourage continuous improvement and staff development
Requirements:
*
ONC/HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction
*
Full clean driving licence
*
CSCS Professionally Qualified
*
SMSTS / IOSH certified
*
Strong experience in highway construction and maintenance
*
Commercial and contractual awareness
*
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
