Staincliffe is a popular, successful junior school with wonderful children and a talented and dedicated team of staff and governors. In March 2023 we were again judged by Ofsted to be a very ‘Good’ school.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to the role of SEN Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable pupils and families. Experience within an Early Years setting would be
beneficial.
We are looking for someone who:
• Will share our school ethos and support the Christian values of our school.
• Will work closely with the SENDCO and work as part of the wider team, including teachers and other support staff, to support the learning and welfare of targeted pupils at risk of significant underachievement, behavioural difficulties, disaffection and poor attendance.
• Will provide practical support for learning, educational activities, developing social skills,integration and for securing pupils’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Has a proven track record of working with vulnerable pupils (ideally EYFS/KS1 experience).
• Is committed to helping us nurture excellence and drive our school forward.
• Is dedicated, energetic and proactive and can motivate and inspire our children.
• Is enthusiastic and creative in their approach to children's learning.
• Will support partnerships with pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community.
• Can demonstrate high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
• Is passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential.
• Can establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional colleagues.
