Due to continuous growth in the Apprenticeships department, we now have 3 vacancies available: 1x 37 hours and 2x 22.2 hours, all permanent. As a Skills Coach, you will play an integral role in coaching and mentoring apprentices through their training programmes, helping them and their employers ensure successful achievement of their Apprenticeships. You will build effective relationships with employers and coach, mentor, manage, and review workplace-based apprentices, attending college for training.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the development of new Apprenticeship Standards and deliver coaching to apprentices to achieve the necessary skills, behaviours, and knowledge.
2. Deliver learning, training, coaching, mentoring, and assessment on work-related programmes tailored to employer and apprentice needs.
3. Conduct initial assessments, interviews, Skills Scans, prior learning evaluations, sign-ups, and inductions for apprentices and employers.
4. Support and mentor employers to maximize apprenticeship development opportunities, including identifying additional qualifications and opportunities for apprentices.
5. Perform formal progress reviews every 10-12 weeks, developing action plans for apprentices with slow progress and supporting their achievement.
The role involves some travel; mileage and accommodation costs are covered, and a vehicle is provided for substantial travel.
Reaseheath College encourages applications from industry professionals who are not currently qualified assessors. Support is available to undertake the assessor qualification within an agreed timeframe.

Minimum Requirements:
* Substantial industry experience in relevant occupational areas.
* Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in occupational area or equivalent.
* Maths and English at least Level 2 (equivalent to old Grade C or above, or new grades 4 or above).
* Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification or willingness to achieve within a set timeframe.
* A quick learner with good interpersonal skills, adaptable to the college environment.
