Kezi & Clay Healthcare Ltd is a quality-driven care provider dedicated to creating nurturing, therapeutic environments where children and young people can thrive. We are opening a new solo placement children’s home in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire for a young person with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and/or ADHD/Autism and learning difficulties.
We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and experienced Registered Manager to lead this new service from registration through to outstanding operation.
Role Overview
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the home in line with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
You will ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and therapeutic support for the young person in placement while managing staff, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, inspire, and develop a small team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Oversee the registration process with Ofsted and ensure ongoing compliance with regulations.
*
Develop and implement individualised care and placement plans for the child.
*
Ensure safeguarding is at the centre of practice, with prompt reporting of all concerns.
*
Manage the home’s budget, rota, and resources effectively.
*
Build positive relationships with local authorities, parents, schools, and other professionals.
*
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with company policy and Ofsted requirements.
*
Support continuous improvement and strive for an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role within a children’s residential setting.
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 12 months).
*
In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding frameworks.
*
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*
Ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviours.
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
*
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
*
Experience of setting up a new children’s home or registering with Ofsted.
*
Experience supporting solo or complex placements.
*
Therapeutic or trauma-informed practice training.
*
Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and attachment theory.
