A well-established manufacturing business specialising in high-performance industrial components is seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer to drive growth across key sectors. This is a hybrid role suited to a commercially astute engineer who enjoys client interaction, solving technical challenges, and developing tailored solutions in the B2B manufacturing space.
Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and end-users across the UK and Europe, particularly within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Solution Selling:
Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide customised component-based solutions aligned to performance and cost goals.

Project Management Support:
Liaise with internal technical and production teams to support product development, from initial enquiry through to delivery and aftersales support.
*
New Business Development:
Identify and target new customers in key sectors such as automation, transport, and industrial machinery.
*
Technical Presentations:
Deliver compelling, technically sound proposals and presentations to both engineering and procurement audiences.

Market Intelligence:
Gather market and competitor intelligence to feed into product development and commercial strategy.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, or Applications Engineer role within the manufacturing or industrial components sector.
*
Strong mechanical engineering background; HND/Degree preferred.
*
Comfortable reading technical drawings and discussing technical specifications.
*
Ability to work autonomously with a consultative sales approach.
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally across the UK & EU.
