The Role
Cleaner Vacancy at Parklands High School
Location: Parklands High School, Southport Road, Chorley, Lancashire
Hours: 16.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only plus 3 weeks
Grade: NJC Grade 3 Scale Point 4
Salary: £9778 per year
We are looking for a reliable, dedicated Cleaner to help us keep Parklands High School in excellent condition. Working under the direction of our Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our school remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff alike.
What you will do:
* Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
* Use cleaning equipment (such as floor buffers - full training will be provided)
* Replenish paper towels, toilet rolls, and other supplies
* Report any maintenance or safety issues to the team
* Assist with additional cleaning for special events, such as open evenings
* Follow all health and safety and safeguarding procedures
What we are looking for:
* A flexible and positive attitude to work
* The ability to work well as part of a team
* A commitment to keeping our school clean, safe, and welcoming
* An understanding of the importance of safeguarding children
* Willingness to work extra hours occasionally (such as for parents’ evenings)
Previous cleaning experience is useful but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
