Responsible for supporting Project Managers/Head of Departments in delivering surveys across diverse environments. The role requires planning and executing small, medium & large projects, managing timescales, adapting to challenges, and escalating issues when necessary. There will be a need to stay away and travel & flexibility is essential, with work required during days, nights, and some weekends.
* Responsible for undertaking Small to Large Scale topographical surveys
* Assist with Quotations
* Experience with Total stations, levelling and GPS/GNSS observations
* Working with the latest technology - example Mobile Mapping Systems
* Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties that may arise on site or office
* Mentor and train less experienced team members as and when required
* Management and maintenance of survey equipment
* Production of CAD Drawings from Survey Data
* Post Processing of Survey Data - Traversing, levelling, GPS, Scale Factors & survey reports
* Assistance in the overall development of the survey department
* Adherence to Company manuals and processes
* Ensure QA/QC Compliance; Proven experience in conducting land, topographic, and boundary surveys.
* Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, and laser scanners.
* Experience with CAD software and data processing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS)
* Strong understanding of surveying principles, mapping techniques, and geospatial data.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and legal documents related to land boundaries.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.
* Good time management skills.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
