You should be proactive, able to manage your own tasks, collaborate effectively, and communicate regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners. Your role will involve delivering accurate, transparent reporting and providing long-term value.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, high-performing, and ambitious Senior Manager to join the Centre of Excellence in the Audit Quality Department (AQD). You will help shape the role and the expanding team, reporting to a Director or Partner, and contribute to developing innovative data analytics tools, methodologies, and guidance for auditing revenue and other key areas, supporting engagement teams.
The CoE leads the development of firm-wide and sector-specific tools, solutions, and methodologies. It supports large and complex audits, reviews audit strategies and execution, and collaborates with broader audit quality functions to enhance audit quality. Currently, the focus is on auditing revenue, with plans to expand to other critical areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting audit teams on large and complex audits by coaching and assisting with high-quality revenue audit strategies, controls, and digital techniques.
2. Conducting file reviews to enhance audit quality and coaching engagement teams.
3. Assisting during external regulatory reviews, in collaboration with a Director/Partner.
4. Leading the development of data analytics tools, methodologies, and guidance for audit areas.
5. Working with the Learning and Development team to identify training needs, develop training materials, and facilitate sessions.
6. Collaborating with other departments to improve audit quality and implement controls and digital techniques.
You should have:
* Strong knowledge of substantive and controls-based audit strategies, especially in revenue and key audit areas.
* Experience with Data Analytics procedures and supporting audit methodologies.
* Experience with audit file reviews, either regulatory or within practice.
* A solid understanding of the regulatory environment and technical audit expertise.
* Excellent communication skills, the ability to challenge engagement teams, and a passion for coaching.
* ACA qualification or equivalent.
