AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 48 hours. Two Tier ROTA, on second tier
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: FRCS (SN) and CCT in Neurosurgery
GMC REQUIREMENT: Full registration

Responsibilities
Provide sub‑specialisation experience in Oncological Neurosurgery for fully trained neurosurgeons aspiring to be oncological neurosurgeons.
Gain surgical experience in complex oncological neurosurgery including awake craniotomies and endoscopic procedures for gliomas and intraventricular tumours.
Attend neuro‑oncology MDT and Neuro Oncology clinics.
Participate in research activities, including multicentre national trials and studies in intra‑operative surgical technology and advanced brain imaging techniques for intraparenchymal tumours.
Deliver 16–32 hours of general neurosurgery on‑call cover per week.
Work up to 3 theatre lists per week in oncological neurosurgery.
Contribute to MDTs and broader clinical services.
