The Opportunity:
As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere, St Ives, and (where relevant) the Perth office. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands‑on exposure to the gold mining environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well‑rounded capability across all key areas. This program offers genuine, real‑world mining experience and the opportunity to see how your foundational university studies translate into practice.

Skills & Qualifications:
* Current manual driver’s licence.
* Completed your Tertiary Qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or related field by end 2026. (Inclusive of Soil or Rock Mechanics, Geology, Civil Eng, Mining Eng. degrees)
* Vacation experience in a mining environment is ideal, but not essential
About the Role
* Learn, through site-based roles, the application of geotechnical engineering principles with regards to mine ground control, including collecting field data, conducting inspections and analysing geotechnical conditions
* With guidance, undertake field inspections, manage ground support QA/QC, mine compliance to design and support backfill fill design.
* Contribute to production tasks, ensuring geotechnical risks are identified, assessed and effectively controlled.
