Admin Officer (Full‑Time, Temporary)

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Fully Office Based

Salary: £12.36 per hour

Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 37 hours per week


About the Role

Our client, a leading Public Sector organisation, is looking for a proactive and reliable Admin Officer to join their team on a full‑time, temporary basis at HMCTS Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in the Divorce unit department of the courts, being first point of contact for individuals involved in Divorce related court cases.


What's on Offer

* Hourly rate: £12.36 per hour, plus holiday entitlement and a pension scheme
* Training provided: You'll receive two weeks of office‑based training to get you fully up to speed
* Convenient location: The office is located next to the bus station and is close to local amenities for your office days


Key Responsibilities

* General administration
* Handling queries regarding hearings
* Providing updates on court activity via internal systems
* Opening and sorting post
* Data entry and processing court orders
* Answering telephone queries
* Taking payments over the phone
* Inputting petitions and case information
* Carrying case files across different floors


Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment. You should have experience with data entry, and be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft applications.

You’ll need a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of working in a target‑driven, fast‑paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy.
