Maintenance Assistant – Worth School (TES FE News)
Actual hours and weeks: 37 hrs, 52 weeks. We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will support the Buildings and Maintenance team with all maintenance tasks as required, to assist with the efficient operation of the department in accordance with the standards required. Due to the remote location of the school, reliable transport is necessary.
We Are Looking For Someone That Has
* Full clean driving licence
* Able to read and understand instructions
* Basic record keeping
* Trustworthy
* Basic computer skills
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
* Responding to maintenance requests via the helpdesk as directed by the maintenance team leader
* Perform routine health and safety checks to ensure correct performance of equipment and as part of Worth’s legal requirements, such as fire alarm testing and being an active member of the fire response team
* Work with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the workshops are maintained in a tidy and workmanlike state
* Complete all relevant training relating to site and equipment safety and safeguarding
* Complete pre-use checks of equipment as required
* Painting and routine maintenance jobs around the site
* Driving and refuelling vehicles
* Collecting materials from offsite suppliers when required
* Accompany visiting personnel/contractors as required
* Attend meetings with staff/management as required
