About the role
We're looking for a qualified Finance Manager on a fixed-term contract (12 months), responsible for all management accounts relating to Uswitch Limited.
This role is an exciting chance to join a team that is driving the modernisation of Uswitch's finance function, leveraging new technologies and Generative AI tools to enhance controls and automate key reporting processes.
Responsible for 1 direct report, and reporting to the Financial Controller.
What you'll be doing
* Ownership for monthly reporting of the division’s performance
* Partner with Commercial Operations to significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the monthly billing run and accrued income recognition process
* Work with the commercial finance and wider business to review costs
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Assistant Management Accountant, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance, particularly around new technologies
* Producing monthly divisional reporting packs and commentary
* Review and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations to agreed timelines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
* Manage statutory and group year-end audit requirements
* Identify and implement automation opportunities within the monthly reporting cycle to reduce close time and enhance control effectiveness.
* Manage team delivery of financial reporting in line with month end timetable
* Provide weekly cash flow forecasting for RVU London.
What we're looking for
Essentials
* 2 years post-qualified experience ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Strong management accounting experience
* Experience in a technology-driven environment
* Proven track record of driving and implementing process automation and efficiency improvements
* Strong ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Operations) to improve cross-functional processes
* Strong excel / IT skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirables
* Experience in the technology, internet, or finance sector is strongly desirable
* Experience leveraging AI tools.
