We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef or Cook to join our team. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu specifications.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new recipes and improve existing ones.
* Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as required.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
* Serve dishes to guests when necessary, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant's standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
