Watercress House Dental and Implant clinic is a private specialist practice located in Alton town center and was established in 1999.
Our ethos is to provide a comprehensive family service – offering excellent dental care alongside specialist services, including endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, sedation and implant treatment.
The three surgery practice is a fully computerised (Dentally) and equipped with digital radiography to include a CBCT scanner, OPG and lateral Ceph, Intraoral Scanner as well as a varifocal microscope.
We are currently looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse for our established private practice located in the heart of Alton, Hampshire. We would consider a Trainee Dental Nurse who is already enrolled on a course, with at least 6 months experience.
We would like a motivated, ambitious person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effective motivation and listening skills with a genuine interest in helping people as well compassion and empathy while interacting with patients.
If you are either an experienced Qualified Dental Nurse or a Trainee Dental Nurse and you think you have the right attitude we would love to hear from you and we will provide the necessary training for you.
You will be required to help us with a variety of procedures from routine dentistry to implants and orthodontics. The position may also require occasional reception duties, face to face and over the telephone - therefore a good communicator is essential.
You would be responsible for:
* Assisting the dental operator in organizing the day's activities.
* Monitoring day lists, the appointment diary and update as necessary.
* Preparing the surgery for use at the beginning of the session and clear up at the end of the session consistent with Infection Control and Health and Safety protocol.
* Anticipating the dental operator's requirements across a broad range of clinical procedures.
* Assisting the dental operator in the provision of dental treatment and to supervise the patient until they are fit to leave the department.
* Preparing for fillings, impression materials, instruments, equipment, dressings and syringes.
* Using equipment such as hand instruments, aspiration equipment in a manner which minimises the risk of cross infection or soft tissue injury.
* Providing pre-and post-operative instructions for patients in agreement with the dental operator.
* Assisting the dental operator in making arrangements for appropriate follow up care.
* Maintaining hand pieces, aspirators and other equipment.
* Processing and mounting radiographs.
* Arranging for the timely supply of materials and laboratory work.
* Utilising keyboard skills for data entry and charting on the Dental software (Dentally).
The candidate will either need to have their GDC registration or have at least 6 months experience as a Trainee Dental Nurse.
