Introduction
MIT Technology Review (MITTR) offers a variety of media solutions that support the branding ambitions of paying sponsors and advertisers the world over.
In a crowded marketplace, our custom content division in particular stands out for in depth research work, such as the Green Future Index, the Global Cloud Ecosystem, the Business Lab podcast series, and more.
To expand our international reach, primarily in Europe and Asia, with corporate and government clients and a particular (but not sole) focus on the custom content offering, we are looking for an experienced sales person to join the existing team.
Principal duties and responsibilities
* Drive sales with consistent, strategic messaging that conveys MITTR’s unique value proposition
* Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals
* Provide accurate pipeline reporting and sales projections
* Collaborate closely with the custom content production team and other sales colleagues
* Support the custom content team by closely managing client expectations and facilitating clear communication
* Establish, at a decision-making level, long-lasting, “consultative” relationships with corporations
Supervision
This role does not entail staff supervision.
Qualifications & skills
* Business degree
* 5 to 7 years sales experience selling consulting services and/or content solutions direct to senior-level clients at top media or leading consulting outlets
* International experience, Asia particularly
* Proven track record of sales in this line of business
* Excellent negotiator and presenter of business ideas
