Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the daily operations of our renewable energy company, specialising in the design and installation of solar panels, air source heat pumps, battery storage systems, and other renewable energy solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects, supporting customers and field operatives whilst ensuring smooth administrative processes from initial enquiry to project completion.
Responsibilities
* Managing incoming calls, emails and other customer enquiries and directing appropriately
* Coordinating installation schedules with engineers and customers
* Preparing quotations, contracts and documentation
* Submitting applications for grants, incentives and compliance schemes (e.g. MCS, DNO, SEG etc)
* Liaising with suppliers to order materials and track deliveries to meet deadlines
* Maintaining accurate customer records and project files
* Assisting with invoicing, payment tracking and basic accounts administration
* Updating CRM systems and spreadsheets
* Supporting health and safety and compliance documentation
* Providing general administrative support to management and technical teams
Skills
Essential:
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Customer service experience
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Experience in the renewable energy, construction, or home improvement sector
* Familiarity with MCS standards, ECO schemes, or renewable energy grants(Training to be given)
* Experience using CRM systems
* Basic bookkeeping or accounts experience (Xero)
