To work closely with stakeholders and act as a key contact on all procurement-related business. Undertaking procurement activity for medium value contracts within the procurement strategy. Providing support to procurement and finance colleagues and identifying savings opportunities against agreed timescales.
Ensuring compliance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and UK Contracting Regulations while following best practice guidance.
Identifying, delivering, and maximising savings opportunities and demonstrating value for money in all activities.
Main duties of the job
1. Processing requisitions and orders via the trust's e-tendering system.
2. Maintaining procurement documentation.
3. Producing reports related to supplier spend, product usage, and savings analysis.
4. Working within a procurement team of 17 staff, valuing teamwork, building personal networks, and encouraging contributions from all team members.
5. Being in daily contact with procurement and finance colleagues, suppliers, NHS Supply Chain, Clinical Procurement Specialist Nurse, and clinical staff across both organisations.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply - Level 3 (or commitment to work towards)
Experience (Essential):
* Experience working within purchasing and procurement.
* Experience analysing basic information and spend data to support decision-making.
Knowledge (Essential):
* Knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation regarding public expenditure.
* Understanding of contract structures and key principles.
* Experience managing change related to processes, people, products, and suppliers.
* Ability to build and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships by assessing needs and ensuring delivery.
* Understanding of the current market environment, including opportunities, and ability to evaluate and use information from various sources to develop the business and improve performance.
