Job Description:
NHS Highland
Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Services)
Band 7 (or Trainee under Annex 21)
37 hours per week, Permanent
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ANP to join the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services (DARS), covering Lochaber, Wester Ross, Skye, and Lochalsh.
As well as direct patient contact, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and advice to DARS nursing staff, ensuring evidence-based care within localities.
Ideally, you will hold the ANP qualification and have experience working with individuals requiring addiction treatment. Candidates with relevant experience and a non-medical prescribing qualification may be considered for a trainee post under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change.
You will work closely with similar roles across North Highland to ensure robust local pathways and service development in Lochaber, Skye, Lochalsh, and Wester Ross.
Location is negotiable within NHS Highland boundaries, with some work possibly delivered via assistive technologies such as Attend Anywhere and MS Teams.
A relocation package may be available.
The current shift pattern is Monday–Friday, with plans to move to a North Highland-wide seven-day service, which will include some unsocial hours and weekends.
