Reporting to the Commercial Strategy Manager, this role will provide strategic direction for PepsiCo Foods to grow the Snackfood category. Delivering strong commercial results for both PepsiCo & Woolworths NZ.
Job Overview:
* Coordinate, align & deliver an annual plan, that unlocks category growth for PepsiCo and Woolworths NZ
* Develop & implement a mutually beneficial, initiative based, annual business agenda for PepsiCo & our customers - addressing aligned priority focus areas for category growth across range, space and activation.
Responsibilities
Support the PepsiCo Category Strategy:
* Working with the PepsiCo Commercial Strategy Manager & Insights Manager on the Category Growth Framework & the role in which PepsiCo plays.
* Lead the tailoring of Category Strategy and Case for Change for customers to align with customer strategies & priorities.
* Ownership for building and leading the customer engagement schedule to land the strategic business plan.
* Being the voice of the customer internally to ensure PepsiCo strategies are set up to deliver against the needs of customers.
Full ownership for leading, planning and implementing the Category Review Campaign:
* Leading annual Insight and quarterly customer meetings delivering actionable initiatives supported by the customer.
* Working with the Shopper Insights and Shopper Marketing Manager to deliver PepsiCo annual activation and innovation workshops.
* Responsible for the delivery of the Customer Range Review. Ensure key deliverables and timelines are met across objective setting, opportunity prioritisation, stakeholder alignment and post analysis
* Day to day management of customer relationships with key stakeholders including Monthly buyer WIPs.
* Supporting the commercial function in analyzing performance trends and providing insights to deliver against the PepsiCo Business Plan.
* Work with customer leads on Joint Business Planning, leading the development of strategic growth areas and supporting information.
* Assist the customer teams with additional analysis and insights to mitigate risk and exploit short term opportunities to close gaps to AOP/JBP.
* Work with the customer and category lead to pro-actively understand the performance of the category and identifying opportunities for growth.
* Customer Portfolio Management:-
Support the customer teams with monthly risk mitigation analysis to understand the drivers and subsequent business asks:
* Lead the preparation for Stage Gate across appropriate segments. Ensure cross functional alignment across run rates, launch volumes, distribution and range and space strategy.
* Supporting role for Field
* Creation of customer facing selling materials as required
Qualifications
* Minimum 6-8 years FMCG experience
* Tertiary qualification in marketing / commerce economics / business: or equivalent
* Essential Experience / Job Knowledge
* Minimum 2 years in a Category Management role
* Proficient in analysis and use of software Circana/Nielsen/Quantium etc.
* Experience in strategy development as well as execution
* Proven ability to develop good working relationships cross functionally both internally and externally.
* Customer facing experience in a category or commercial role.
