Find out more about Orano Ltd Reference number 2025-22159 Location Abingdon Position title Management Accountant Job description (internal) Orano Limited is seeking a newly qualified Management Accountant to join their Finance Team based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The Management Accountant role is required to support the growing need for analysis of project and business performance, resource deployment effectiveness and reporting of actuals, forecast and variance analysis using a number of tools. Reporting to the Finance Manager on a daily basis the successful applicant will work closely with a number of operational colleagues based in all three UK offices. Responsibilities will include: Provide the business with financial analysis of operational projects, focusing on the primary components of hours booked, selling rates, cost rates and margins Scenario modelling to help the business understand sensitivities and alternative strategies Generate meaningful reports that add value to the decision-making process Support the Finance Manager to prepare and present monthly Management Accounts to senior management Support the Finance Manager to prepare regular in-year forecasts and the annual budget for the following financial year Develop analytics to support the forecasting and budgeting activities within the business Provide all necessary information as required to external and internal auditors Maintain confidentiality and data security standards at all times Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required Skills and Qualifications (internal) Newly qualified ACMA or ACCA, with relevant experience of 1-3 years Analytical and problem solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Experience of working within a project delivery focused business Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance colleagues Excellent knowledge and capability in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools Experience of working with a large ERP such as SAP is preferred Confidence to provide challenge based on financial and project information.
