Senior / Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Devon
Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000
A market-leading manufacturer of critical components is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join and lead their manufacturing facility to drive operational strategy and continuous improvement across production and manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for optimising efficiency, enhancing performance, delivering key engineering projects and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
* Oversee production metrics, including OEE, yield, and downtime, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimisation and waste reduction.
* Work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to enhance overall operational efficiency.
* Develop and mentor production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous development.
Senior / Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Ideal Skillset & Experience:
* Strong fundamentals in engineering such as manufacturing processes, tolerancing and materials
* Track record of structured problem solving
* Ideally 3 years+ experience in supervising/leading/managing a team within manufacturing
* Previous experience in process development, process improvement and Continuous Improvement
* Degree qualified within Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
