The Role
Make UK are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant / New Business Development Manager to join their organisation on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be best suited to a natural influencer, who is charismatic with drive and tenacity. A real go-getter, who can think outside the box to solve problems and influence the bias into their favour.
In this exciting and high-impact role, you will be responsible for driving new business revenue by promoting Make UK’s range of services, including training, consultancy, and business support, to manufacturers and other businesses across the UK. You’ll identify opportunities, build pipelines, and convert prospects into long-term partners.
This role is perfect for someone who is confident in B2B sales, understands the consultative selling approach, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Role Responsibilities
* Drive sales to companies in the manufacturing and wider industry to sell in Make UK’s product and services.
* Understand and develop innovative ways to make products appeal to consumers based on the environment and current trends.
* Investigate and target new markets, penetrating them to drive sales particularly out of existing manufacturing/engineering sectors.
* Meet KPI’s and sales targets set, taking accountability on achieving these
* Development and management of a sales plan.
* Prospecting and managing the sales process to achieve new sales leads. Mainly through telephone, email and on line platforms.
* Attending sales meetings, company organised training programmes or courses and events. .
* Complete sales order documentation
* Preparing monthly/quarterly reports, forecasts or other as requested to ensure all information is collated and entered on MakeUK databases
* Passing on leads for other Business Units
* Promote new digital products and services across existing account portfolio.
Person Specification
* High levels of tenacity, robustness and drive
* Team and company focussed.
* Keeps themselves up-to-date with relevant political and commercial developments
* Provide insight, challenge and offer the most compelling and best fit solutions for clients on all occasions.
* Highly Experienced in selling B2B
* Track record of consistently achieving KPI’s/Targets
* Effective collaboration with key support teams and stakeholder groups
* The role has fantastic earning opportunities, with a successful Sales Consultant essentially doubling their earnings!
* 26 days’ annual leave + Bank Holidays
* Pension is matched contributions between 4-8%
* Home based with attendance to Aston, Birmingham office as required
