Overview
Lead Exam Invigilator – (Onsite)
Salary: £23,559 per annum pro rata; £14.10 per hour (includes an enhancement for annual leave). Hours: Up to 30 hours per week, 40 weeks a year. The role involves supporting exam sessions between 8.00am and 9.00pm with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Supervise online tests and invigilate external examinations.
* Read and write for individual students as required.
* Lead invigilation in line with current rules and procedures.
* Assist with the preparation of exam papers and the associated stationery and paperwork to ensure exams run smoothly.
* Support busy events within the team (e.g., GCSE exams, taster events, enrolment) and contribute to wider team activities while maintaining a high standard of invigilation.
* Work with the wider Funding & Performance team and on an as-needed basis with the pool of invigilators.
Qualifications
* Desirable: a good standard of education, including Maths and English at Level 2 (Grade C/4 or above or equivalent).
* General administrative and computing skills, including familiarity with the internet.
Location
Based at Ipswich, Suffolk New College. As Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site, campuses include Rural, Halesworth and Leiston; you may be required to invigilate at these locations.
